First off, when I plugged the controller in for the first time my computer said it was unable to find the drivers for the device. (most people were saying they just plugged it in and it was ready to go) So I went and downloaded the drivers for the wired xbox 360 controller from microsoft, however it wont recognize my controller at all.

When I go into Device Manager I see the controller under 'Other Devices' and it is called 'MadCatz GamePad'. I feel like this is the root of the problem, and the controller should be recognized as being an Xbox 360 controller.

Usually the Google machine solves all my tech related problems, but I can't find any solutions for this. I appreciate any help :)
