Gamecube Controller Driver For Mac

Driver

##Update:I recommend you use this driver instead, which has all for controller ports working correctly: https://github.com/area/osx-wiiu-gcc-adapter

##DescriptionBased on a similar bare-bones KEXT for an XBOX One controller:

This is the home of the unofficial Windows driver for the official Wii U GCN USB. This driver supports the official Nintendo Wii U Gamecube USB adapter,. Hyperkin GameCube Controller Adapter for Wii U/PC/Mac - Wii U Accessory. Adapter to use GameCube controllers on the Wii U, PC, or Mac. It has 2 USB plugs that connect to your system, and will allow you to use up to four gamecube controllers.

This heritage is painfully obvious in the names of various variables. This will change in the future, but I'm trying to get things goingquickly.

(Temporary) Installation

You will need to disable *.kext signing in OSX 10.10, which isthe only OS I have tested on so far. This is done by

BUT ONLY DO THIS IF YOU KNOW WHAT CONSEQUENCES IT BRINGS

Gamecube Controller Driver For Mac Os

After building, copy the *.kext to a temporary location

and load it:

Usage

A HID Controller with 24 axes and 48 buttons will present itself. These can then be mapped to actions in games or apps that support them.

Known Bugs

Reporting as a single controller is clearly unwanted. I thought this was meant to be taken care of with the HID report and using non-null Report_IDs, but apparently not.

##TODO

Appear as XInput controller to allow support in many more games (Nidhogg, I'm looking at you)

Need help with GameCube Controller Adapter on Mac

Gamecube Controller Driver For Mac Torrent

I've been using a Mayflash Adapter to play Melee on my Mac for a while now, and back when I was still on Mavericks until a couple of months ago, all was working perfectly fine (I was using the driver linked to on the Dolphin Wiki). But when I finally updated to High Sierra, Dolphin suddenly didn't detect the driver.

I did some research and then found out this was because of Apple's SIP protection, so I went on to disable that, install the new kext, and then enable SIP again, and everything was working just fine again. But a few weeks later, for some reason, Dolphin again didn't recognize the adapter, even though I didn't change anything. I do know that the .kext must be working because WUP-028 does show up under the connected USB devices in the Mac System Report. Therefore I believe there's something wrong with Dolphin? I'm using the most recent Faster Melee build, and I have also uninstalled and reinstalled that one several times, yet my adapter is still not detected by Dolphin. It does show up however if I select Standard Controller, yet no inputs are registered if I try to configure it.

Is there anything I can do to fix this? Only idea I have left is disabling SIP again and reinstalling the .kext, yet I'm not sure if that'll change anything because the .kext itself should be working just fine.
